Common Problems Related to the Condenser Unit
The condenser unit is located in the outside cabinet of the air conditioner machine. The condenser plays a huge role in keeping the house cool and comfortable. This unit contains condenser coils and condenser fans. The condenser work is to release heat from the refrigerant when it gets pressurized in the compressor unit. As the condenser comes in the middle of the refrigerant cycle so when it gets problems, then overall system gets disturbed. As a responsible house owner, you should know some of the common problems related to the condenser unit so that you can stay aware when any such problem occurs. For your reference, here in this blog, AC repair South Florida has mentioned few common problems related to condenser.
Dirty Coils
Over time, the coils get caught up with dust and dirt and become non-functional. So the dust and dirt should be cleaned from the condenser coils at regular intervals of time. If you don’t clean the coils for a considerable period of time, then a layer of dust and dirt gets developed on the coil and act as an insulation thereby making the condenser coils not to work effectively. This stops the release of the heat of the refrigerant and cause several issues related to the air conditioning unit.
Condenser Fan
The condenser fan helps in removing the heat which is released by the condenser coils and helps in blowing that heat out of the unit. Also, it keeps the airflow maintained. Over time, the fan can face problems and cause a problem with the condenser functioning. The problems which can emerge from the fan are worn fan belt, fan motor issues or problems related to the wiring. All these problems can affect the fan operation which in turn can cause issues with the heat release.
